In1983 Dr Van Acker established the psychiatric and psychotherapeutic centre now known as Psy503. Convinced of the value of teamwork, both for patients and therapists, he progressively surrounded himself with other psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists to form the present team. The centre is fully autonomous and non-subsidised and works in close collaboration with the patient
